Join us for a foundational training on Dr. Carol and Byron Norton’s model of Experiential Play therapy. In this training, you’ll discover how Experiential Play Therapy engages the brain and nervous system and strengthens attachment through the therapeutic relationship. You’ll learn how to show up as a safe, attuned figure for children and how to effectively respond to their play using the principles of Experiential Play and attachment-based work. We’ll also cover the core tenets of play therapy and give you a clear, accessible overview of the model.

Training Objectives:
After completion of this training participants will be able to:
- Describe the tenants of Experiential Play Therapy
- Explain Experiential Play Therapy’s basic principles of repairing attachment and reprocessing trauma through non-directive play therapy.
- Explain the core functions of attachment and how these functions are uniquely expressed within Experiential Play Therapy

Cancellation refund policy: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the program start date will receive a full refund, minus a $10 administrative fee. Cancellations made within 7 days of the start date are non-refundable, and all fees will be forfeited.
- Changes Counseling and Wellness Center (CCWC) reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to insufficient enrollment. CCWC will email workshop participants at least 5 calendar days in advance of the scheduled workshop date to notify students of the cancellation. Notice will be provided with the option to reschedule a future course date or to receive a full refund of paid workshop fees.
- CCWC reserves the right to cancel a workshop due to inclement weather, instructor illness or instructor family emergency. If a workshop is canceled, participants will be notified via email prior to the workshop start time. CCWC will notify the participants of a reschedule date for the workshop within 10 calendar days of the cancelled workshop. Notice will be provided with the option to reschedule for the future course date or to receive a full refund of the paid workshop fee.
